Hi folks,
Been busy with the kids and the house lately, just fired up the projector after about 3 months.
The Marquee was spot on! Enjoyed a movie with the wife.
CRT is still fun! Thumbs Up

With my son last night and as useual was amazed
So smooth fast moving action
Crt still rocks black, motion
Couldn’t argee more. If it was my Jvc the fast moving bits

How do you view 1080p UHD disks on your 909? What downsamples them?

The Panasonic ub-9000 does it internally
And converts hdr with “low luminance projector”
Profile works a treat.

I tried a hdfury diva also it down samples but it looked
Horrendously bad !

The ub-9000 is simply perfect for uhd and Blu-ray Discs
Amazon prime also has better colour through it as well but
The smart features are clunky and slow to navigate
But very happy

Ub-9000 — dvdo vp50pro — moome hdmi Barco
with fine detail enhancement enabled on the vp50pro
Really works well

You can tell the difference from bluray to streaming to UHD
It’s subtle but UHD to my eyes the shadows are deeper
The colour is richer the highlights appear stronger as the
Mids and shadows are down a little from standard
And no compression artifices on fast motion like you get from
4K streaming and it does genuinely appear sharper !

based on your Dancrt I think I might start looking for a 9000 assuming I get my theater running soon. Thanks for the info. Did you happen to notice the UHD picture being dim or the black level being far off from other sources though? I have read some complain of that.

Marquee 9500LC Ultra + Oppo 203 + 4K UHD = superb tone mapping

Yes CRT is still the top. Mostly I watch on plasma but once my wife to be has moved completely to our new home the CRT will be fired up more often.

OPPO 203 is just too much money now. What about that brand that took over for OPPO? Shame they didn't just keep running them.

When you have a UHD blu ray player downsample to 1080p does it keep the 10bit color?
