Hi,

I have a general question about HDMI output signal from different bluray players. If you turn off all video filters (or use a direct source for output), is the HDMI output signal different from a player to another? I read on different forums about high-end power supply with very low noise and low jitter clocks. A lot of people seem to see differences in picture quality (more or less video noise, sharpness, picture depth...) affected by these power supplies or clocks changes. I would like to understand how all that can affect a pure digital signal (with no filter or conversion)? If you have some links with some technical explanations, please give them to me. Thanks

Give the section "Dramatically reduced output jitter and noise" in the Radiance Pro 5348 section here a read: http://www.curtpalme.com/Radiance.shtm

It explains Lumagen's feelings about the HDMI jitter and noise improvements they've made to their latest model and why it matters - sometimes.
