Hello everyone. I've had my Dwin HD-700 for 20 years. It was manufactured in February 2000. This projector has been darn good to me. I did have to send it out to Curt once or twice for typical HD-700 issues. It came back better than new.

A couple of nights ago, I lost red. Can't watch Captain America without red (or blue, or wh- all of em.) I shut it down and let it rest. Tried again. No red. I checked the pj's focus menu. Green and blue came up fine. No red. I opened the pj and reseated the video cable - the one that runs to the external connectors - on both ends. Tried again. No red. The red tube glows orange like the others, so I guess I need a new neck board.

Checking to see if any HD-700 parts are still around seems laughable, but I have to give it a go. So... does anybody have a neck board for the red tube or any other ideas I can try? (Sure, I wouldn't mind purchasing some newer technology at this point, lol, but taking this pj down from the ceiling and retiring it would be the end of a loooong era. Plus, oh man, the research I would have to do to choose a new one!) Thanks for any help!

I've repaired a few of the CRT sockets. it could be as simple as oxidation in the connections. Did you reseat the ribbon cable going to the motherboard as well?
I threw out all my DWIN parts ages ago, so if you can't test the transistors, then yes, you might be screwed, unless someone here has a spare board.

A random arc within the red tube may have taken out one of the transistors.

I did reseat the cable going to the mobo. I’ve removed the neck board. Visual inspection shows no blown caps or other damage to my inexperienced eye. (I fixed a dead power board in a DVR by replacing the caps and my knowledge pretty much ends there.) I can test the transistors with my multimeter, but I’m not sure what to expect while they are still in the circuit.
