I recently picked up one of these receivers for $50 and it has the issues that appear to be common with these AVRs It freezes up and you cannot do anything unless you pull the plug and turn it on again.

I have read a number of posts that indicate it is a capacitor problem or the unit just needs to be reset or have the firmware updated.

It looks like a nice unit and does work well for a while until it freezes.

Anyone have any solutions to this or where I should look.?

The local repair shop wants nothing to do with it as does Pioneer.

I am only a hobbyist and do not have a ton of test equipment but would like to try and get this unit working.

Thanks and have a great day and stay safe.

Cheers

Wayne
