I bought a JVC RS45U and I knew it had some weird warning light issues when I got it. I used it for a few days and seen that the lamp was close to end of life. I ordered a new lamp assembly. Real not cheap replacement. Then it stopped coming on. Reading up on what it was doing it said that most likely was a board failure requiring about $1200-$1500 to repair from JVC. So I panicked and bought a factory refurbished JVC RS57U. It is a newer better PJ capable of 4K. Totally satisfied with my purchase. Now the new lamp assembly came for the 45. I installed it and tried it out. Son of a B**ch. It fires up and works flawlessly every time I tried it. Which was about 10 times both short run time and long. Now I have a fully operational RS45U with new lamp that I no longer need. In one way I should have waited to see if the new lamp fixed it. But on the other hand I now have a 4K machine instead.
