Gidday

I recently acquired tgree Sony vph-1292q projectors but unfortunately two will not turn on.

They boot and the led display flashes before instantly shutting down.

I have searched the web high and low and found similar symptoms however none of the ideas fixed these.

I have a third working unit of which I tested the power supplies. And they tested ok.

My next thoughts are to remove boards one by one to isolate the issue but was hoping someone may have a useful tidbit to try first.

Your best bet is to exchange boards one by one, to narrow down the problem at least, then we can think abour a repair plan.
Three 1292s huh? You must have a hangar for them LOL Smile

Thanks yes the person I bought them off kindly spent an afternoon checking them out and came to the same conclusion.
Seemed so strange for both to present the same.
And no not quite a hangar but they are certainly beasts

TV/Projector: All of them!

Do you have the lenses attached? If they are like the G90, there are lens sensing wires attached to the screws. The set will momentarily fire up, then shut down if those aren't connected to the chassis.
