I have a NEC XG52 CRT projector currently not working. As soon as you try to turn on the power, it starts to power up then just immediately shuts itself off. It will cycle a couple of times trying to turn on but nothing else happens. It was working fine then this issue came up all of a sudden. The picture shows the error code that comes up on the rear display of the projector. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Is that a CC error or FC?

It seemed like a cc but the bottom segment of the first c wasn't lit up.

A really tough call then. It could be FC, which is a problem on the +15 volt line. That could be almost any board in the set, and is very hard to troubleshoot.

I have no more XG parts at this point other than remote controls, so it will be up to a scrap set that someone might have here to get you going again.

Thanks for checking. Is CC an easier fix?

Try reseating the system board a few times.

CC is a system board error. I've never had that before, but i guess it's possible. Again, I have no parts, and the most common failure on XGs has been the system board, so finding a working system board will be tough.

Might be the time to go digital perhaps?
