Good afternoon all,

So either my forum searching skills suck, or I'm just special (in the degrading kind of way), but I'm having trouble finding out how to limit my HDFury2's EDID. Can anyone help? I'd like to limit it to capping out at 720p/1080i and not going full nelson on the default to 1080p. Thanks!

Found this line: http://www.hdfury2.eu/specs.html

"EDID detective feature: EDID eprom can be reprogrammed using a computer through the graphics card (feature reserved for professionals)"

As I recall you needed Powerstrip to do this. There was a forum member doing this, I just sent him a PM with a link to this post.

Thanks for sending the PM. I did some hunting for Powerstrip versions out on the web but wasn't able to find any that matched any of the tutorials that used to be on this site. So I'm a little at a loss... Smile

Looks like you are a few years too late for the reprogramming.
The guy that use to program these tells me he's out of it. He recommends a Dr. HDMI device.

Aparently getting a video card to work with powerstip to do the HDMI programming of HDFury2 was difficult. So when the Dr. HDMI came out it made things much easier. No re-programming needed of the actual HDFury2, you just put the Dr. HDMI in line before the HDFury2 and set it to 1080i or 720p.
