See: http://www.curtpalme.com/Projector_Rankings.shtm

Click on a model for all the gory details.

How ‘good’ a projector is will also be largely dependent on the condition of the tubes too.

Cheers!

Yep I have one. Little fancier than the 1270. No built in remote though so make sure you get that with it. The picture is similar to the 1270.
I run mine at 720p and 1080i on a Stwart Studiotech 130. 110 inch 4:3 which is 95" 16:9. Similar brightness to the 12xx seies too.
Lastly it can accept a component YPbPr signal over the BNC inputs or RGBHV, changeable in the menu,

THE tubes wear relatively quickly in the D50. the chassis is really reliable, but at this point any ES focusing set (which the D50 is) is almost worthless.

Thanks for the info guys. I figure if I can pick it up for less then it would cost to fix the 1270 it my be worth it. I know a little about crt, I have had 4 barcos since 1991. Curt has always been very helpful to me over the years, ment to join the forum years ago just never did ,my loss. I used the 1270 for two years after getting it for free, a local Ht store didn't want to hump it out of a basement so me and my son did it. Had very low hours tubes were mint. Thanks guys, hope to be back in analog soon.
