Hello, I am new to the world of CRT projectors and I picked one up a bit ago. It turns on but I get an error 38 after a minute of it turning on. Sometimes I can get it to a calibration menu but then it shuts off.
What do you think the problem is and what will it cost me to fix?

In the dozens of G70s I've worked on, I've never had a 38 error code. It's an error in one of the CRTs:

What I would do is pull off the CRT socket on each tube one at a time, and fire up with the remaining two. See if you can get two of the tubes to fire up, and we can narrow it down after you try that.
