I seem to remember some old thread where it was mentioned that Marquees seem to like a "hot" input signal. Is it worth setting the contrast setting on my Moome card to 1.0V instead of 0.7V?

With higher input you'll get more light obviously, so you may end up with decreasing the Contrast, by the end of the day there will be no difference IMO

Wouldn't you get a higher signal to noise ratio with a bigger drive signal, all else being equal?

Theoretically yes, but there would be better ways for that on the VIM, than increasing the input voltage...

Guys
With a digital signal to the Moome card and the hotter setting coming out, the only noise being suppressed would be in the VIM which is not noisy anyway.
