https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=104403632

This found in norwegian version of craiglist.

This equals about 6500 US dollars.

I think it is actually more than it did cost new.

The seller firmly belives that it is worth that amount, and got really mad when I tried to explain that it probaly was nearly worthless.

What do you think?

Everyone reply to him saying he will need to provide shipping and will need to pay 50 dollars for us to take it off of his hands for a disposal fee.

Is it ok if I respond using fake, made-up Norwegian, specifically things the Swedish Chef from The Muppets would say?

Or is that racist, insulting, and generally unacceptable?

That projector was probably sold in the 90s. Ask him how much he thinks a PC from the early 90s would be worth today…

Craigslist personals is how I used to get my kicks in college. Not actually responding to any of them of course, just reading them. Very Happy

It's one of two things, either:

(1) The seller is completely ignorant of what something like this is worth because at one time it was indeed worth a lot of money, or
(2) The seller is dishonest and is hoping to sell to a completely ignorant buyer who doesn't understand what something like this is worth (ie: nothing)
