We manage to make a shortcut in the tube. So it is very bright and you can see retrace lines in picture. Any tricks to repair the damage?

I found this.. but I am unsure if it relevant .

Some Sencore CRT analyzers/restorers have a "clear G2 short" function.

The presence of retrace lines indicates that you have a G2 short, probably to the cathode.

H-K shorts in a front projection tube usually can't be cleared, so I think you need to replace it. I know I killed the filament in an NEC XG that I tried to do it to years ago.

If the tube is otherwise in good condition, for a H-K short I'd experiment with isolated DC-DC power supllies for the filament supply instead, that is less risky.

Hi,

I managed repairing several tubes with shorts using my Müter crt analyzer/restorer (german brand). You could send it to me if you run out of options. It can't get worse after all...
