Thanks looking forward to converting this to an
Ultra and having a new lcp backup to my new 9518lc
Backup to support my 700 hour 9518lc. Nice to be
set for the next 15 years. There is no way I will be going
Back to digital anytime soon.
In 3 new machines and 8 parts machines should be set
for awhile. Modded vim,LVPS,HVPS and neck
Boards,Moome and Ice clear glycol with a D6500 calibration
I feel I will have achieved the ultimate CRT
video experience. I also will add the Oppo 103D pulls all
this together and is a must have.

Thanks we are gutting the tubes and installing them
In a new chassis. Severe fungus so cutting the tubes
out and transferring them. Fun project and should be done
this week if all goes well.

Please reinstall all the ground straps running across the top plates of the tube covers, as well as the metal neck card shields and the ground straps that span from the neck card shields to the rear heatsink. They're more important than most people realize.

They are NOT optional.

Thanks for the concern will get to that as it's
only day 2. Going to mount the GT 17 button
It up and wrap it in plastic and store it for a Rainey
day, Will not fill with glycol until pressed into service
Someday most likey ten years from now or longer.

That's wise. I really recommend treating the inside face of the mounting plate with black VHT epoxy and also only use stainless steel screws, which being a newer unit it should already have, at least with regard to anything that can touch glycol.

My expert CRT guy says these are the good
chambers and apoxy is not needed. This projector
will be the only LCP projector of its kind
