Does circa 1974-77 count as "classic"?

I replaced my 3.5w tube amp with a Sansui QRX-7001 Quadraphonic receiver/amp for my turntable. Local seller (retired avionics tech) spent months recapping it.

Love, love, love it.

Anything older that current generation stuff would be classic. So YES 1977 Quadraphonic is definitely classic.
