For about 10 days the image on my screen changed height. It was about 3 inches above where it normally is. The bottom part of the image didn't move at all and it didn't occur in the 2.40- 2.35 AR at all. I checked all cables and could find nothing out of place. I even removed them and checked to be sure they were clean. Last night when I turned everything on to watch my favorite night of TV all was back to normal. I am confused. Has this ever happened to anybody else ? Just curious.

You either have a flaky connection or some component is beginning to break down.,

I'd reseat all boards and connectors as the first step, then start looking for solder ring cracks around components that run hot, and signs of overheating, swelling, and leakage out of any electrolytic capacitors

If it's not something that can be fixed by reseating boards and connectors, then a technician needs to get involved as you may be experiencing early symptoms of a failure that will only get worse and more expensive if allowed to progress to its ultimate failure state.

Jeff and I spoke on the phone today about this. I'm pretty sure it's his vertical deflection board. This is a fairly frequent failure on the G90 if it is what I think it is. Jeff's going to mail me the board in a couple weeks.

I don't think operating the projector in this state will damage anything. However, at some point the projector will probably start throwing error codes and shut down or refuse to turn on. I guess at 17-18 years old something is bound to fail sooner or later Wink I don't think it's a big problem though and I think the projector can be fixed without hurting the calibration I put on it either.

Last night the power went out for about an hour. Today I turned on the HT and everything was NORMAL again. I don't get it. I reset everything once before AND turned off the power.
