Hello,

I recently started learning to use my Lumagen 2020, Chromapure with autocalibrate, and Display 3 pro with my Benq W6000 projector, and I have a couple of quick questions:

1. I want to improve my results by tweaking the onboard CMS on the projector, and running autocalibrate again. If I use the test patterns on the Lumagen 2020, are they filtered through the 3D LUT saved to the 2020 from my initial calibration attempt? Or, do they go unmolested to the projector?

2. I'm not even sure I saved the initial calibration to the 2020. After Chromapure finishes and the report is generated, do I need to do something to save the information to the 2020?

Thanks for any help you may provide. I'm sure I'll have a few more questions.

The Lumagen test patterns generated by ChromaPure will be affected by the auto-cal process.

The profile with calibration settings are saved automatically at the end of auto-cal.

When you go to test patterns in the Lumagen there is an option for "reference" patterns and for "adjustable" patterns. Reference patterns are unmolested patterns as if from a pattern generator without the Lumagen LUT. The adjustable patterns are with the Lumagen adjustments applied.

So use adjustable patterns when doing anything by hand inside the Lumagen. Use reference if you want to make changes in the projector without the Lumagen altering the signal.
