I have a HR24 DVR. The hard drive seems to be running at all times. Have I missed something in the settings or is this unit screwing up big time?

They are pretty much continuously buffering or recording these days.

Thanks for the reply. Other people have told me they can't hear theirs. Mine must just make enough noise for me to know that it's running.
