I grabbed one of these locally.
When in the menu it will display everything in 16x9. As soon as I press play it goes pillarboxed even though I'm playing a Bluray in 16x9. I downloaded the firmware and put it on a CD-ROM but it refuses to update because of a disk in the drive!
Then I tried LG's update via ethernet. It never completes.
Any ideas on how to fix the aspect ratio problem? OR Make the firmware update go?
It even pillarboxes DVD's too no mater the aspect ratio setting.
