I have a Spears & Munsil Bluray calibration disk 1st gen running on an OPPO83.
I use the pluge 4 bar pattern 1 BTB bar; 1 black; 2%; 4% to set brightness. If I pull up the flashing black bar pattern I can't see any bar flash let alone 17-25, I have to increase brightness. If I return to the pluge pattern I see all bars and the background so obviously the brightness is too high,
Why are the black levels not the same or at least closer on these two patterns.
