Ok I got around to adjusting my grayscale again
One issue I have noticed going by the etech guide
That is if I have a proper grayscale the raster shows
If I have the g2 and drive close to stock the low end of the grayscale suffers(can't see if)
I first thought it was because of my gamma x but I removed it from the video chain so that's not a cause
Any ideas?

Hello
There are no two projectors that are identical; try BRITE at 45-46

You need to set a reference point.
See to that your digital video chain dont have any gamma correction, and the levels is set right.
Then use the HD Basic disc and display the 5% IRE window.
Set your brightness to a value you like who dont trow your G2 out of range, G2 and brightness is kind of the same thing, just that brightness is a adjustment moving all 3 channels, and G2 is for each channel.
Then look at the tube face, and adjust the G2 levej so that you can see the bars on the side of the 5% window, and the raster is just a bit elevated.
Then you have the gamma setting you can run and keep black black.
You are running a Marquee right.?
If so there is a lot of different in low level performance, depending what vim, and what service mod is made to the 02VIM.

Yes it's a marquee 9501
I don't know if the driver software for the video card in my htpc has a gamma adjustment or not for sure but will check
I will try adjusting them again and see how it goes
