Curt, or anybody that can answer this question. How far back must a crt. proj. be to be able to display an 120" dia. image? proj. either an Sony g90, or marquee 9500 ultra. joe P.

Its closer to 3.6 meters with HFQ900 lenses.

Thats assuming a 16:9 screen, 4:3 will need to be a bit further back. Say between those two figures.

Typically 1.35 X the width of the screen, regardless of aspect ratio used.

My 9500LC is almost exactly 120 inches from screen to center of center lens, as measured across the floor, so given the slight angle of the projection, actual path of travel from the center of the green lens to the center of the screen will be a little bit longer than that, maybe one extra foot at most. This is for an 8 foot wide screen.

Lens type is HD10GT17. Rasters are well maximized without any fold-back.

Dont you widen the raster for 16:9?
