I have both a Barco Vision 701s and a Retro Data 708. I don't use them very much so there might be time for some experimentation.
I got the RD708 this summer and it has just been tested to make sure it works.

The RD708 has much better performance, but not built for front screen projection. I have heard that it can be modified
into one though. I was thinking in another direction.

Could it be possible to put boards from the RD708 into the BV701?
Maybe increase H scan from 36kHz to 69kHz in the BV701 by a simple board swap Smile

Which boards could come in question? All of them (then it won't be simple of course)?

Putting the complete RD708 into the BV701s chassis would be nice, LC and everything, but I guess to much work and
maybe impossible.

No, can't be done. I've tried many times, and the software between the two chassis doesn't play nice.

OK. I didn't think of the software it affects. I hoped it was just matter of swapping hardware.

At lease I won't waste time swapping boards and possibly damage something. I will maybe look
into the possibilitiy to make the RD708 better for front projection instead.

Happy new year by the way Smile
