Hey guys I recently just upgraded my Sony VPH from a 1251 to a 1271.
Also I moved from only RGBHV cables from an IFB-11 input card, to an IFB-12QA using RGBHV as well, also I did replaced another IFB-11 by a used Moome IFB-DVI/YPrPb signal input card, therefore it looks like I am ready to tryout some Hi Def, video signal is great and sharp, to my surprise as with my IF-11 it was good but I can see the diference now, WOW !!!

The question now, I do pay for NetFlix already, and it seems like the system ROKU is free of a monthly charge, after you do the initial Roku player purchase, and you can rent and see movies, and if you have NetFlix like it is my case, you can also stream it, now, have you guy tryit out (ROKU) before?

I am a divorced guy living with my 2 kds and I am not really in position to waste money, but I do like my CRT, it loks amazin on DVDs and regular Hu Def TV streaming.... any tougths or comments or recomendations?

It Seems like Roku 3 is for Hi Def but Roku 2 is for component YPrPb video streamng, so I will go for Roku 2 so I do not have to convert the signal...

By the way I do not pay for TV or Satellite other than netflix and I do have Hi Speed Internet DSL.

What do you guys think?

The Roku 2 does not have an ethernet port and is wireless only also no HD component output only HDMI. The only Roku with HD component output is a Roku XDS and it is also the most versatile for analog use. If you only want HD over HDMI get the Roku 2 XS model it has an ethernet port which I prefer over wireless.

it is very simple, I just connected the Roku 3 wireless remote to my stereo using and oversize earphone adaptor.
Roku 3 remote has wireless sound via the remote.... so it is like if Roku 3 did help us making it trouble free for us CRT geniuses, in other words the Roku remote is directly my sound input into my stereo.

LoL

Cool he?

I have a Roku 3 and no the stereo headphone jack on the remote has serious lip sync issues and IMO is quite worthless.

Could be that I a conected directly to the moome card within 12" so I do not have a long cable between stereo and CRT?
Mine works fine so far.
