I took the HD-10L's off of two projectors... One has little spacers and one doesn't.

What is correct? Spacers between the lens flange and C element ring or no spacers???

Could be. They look like little washers around the hex cap screws that hold the lenses on. They reside between the lens flange and the C-element mounting ring. It looks like they have some kind of slow sticky adhesive on them so that they stick while the lens is mounted.

I wonder if spacing the lens out allows for a larger screen to be focused with the HD-10L?

Why dont you try with and without spacers, and see how the focus and trow look like ?

If it works for better corner focus or different trow it might be a interesting tweak.

Never had spacers.

HD-10L are sharp corner to corner without them.

Ok. Going to try both ways to see while setting up the stack.
