|
|
Does anyone know if there is any issue in running different versions of the R762721?
I see the circuit boards have different board designs. At the rear of the board the circuit boards have 4 different versions that I know of:
780539S-4
780539S-3
780539S-2
780539S-1
I assume the later versions are better or more reliable.
Thanks

There are two different RGB amplifiers VPH08 and VPJ08. VPJ08 is obviously the later version which I understand is an improvement over the VPH08 although I have both and in a practical sense I can't tell you one is better than the other. I haven't looked at the actual circuit board numbers but there are also some differences in components but again whether one is better than another in a practical sense is another matter.
Curt may be the best person to talk about reliability as he, I would think, would have replaced more than anyone else (apart from Barco).

They fail so rarely that I actually threw out about 20 of them, as I had well over 50 in stock. (the ones that I threw out were for the BG808s, which very few people have at this point, relax people! )

With the lack of people responding to my 'free parts' posts.. yeah, they'll gather up the troops.

I'll have to take a look at what I have but I know the circuit board version do not match. Not sure if they are VPJ08 or VPH08. Any idea if the different circuit board versions can be mixed? They all share the same part number so I would think it wouldn't matter.

I believe you can mix and match.
