Hi everybody,
I finally found the time to do all the maintenance mods on my marquee.
at the moment I'm upgrading caps and mickey mouse resistors on my VDM
I checked the board and the squeeze mod was done (R704, R804 and R904 changed to 56K)
I also found the resistors R705, R805 and R905 changed to 560ohms
I saw those were added without taking out the board as if somebody wanted to to the squeeze mod but made a mistake in resistor value and resistor number. in the schematic it says that the latter resistors should be 1K5
Should I change those values to the factory value or should i leave them in?
the projector worked fine before but i had a problem snow and then when I decreased the height too much the HV drops and comes back.
Could that be related?
Regards,
Ron.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for your offer but I have the schematics myself. I had another look and I had the number of the resistors wrong. The value should be 470ohms and is 560ohms so i leave it like it is because the difference it not that big.
Thanks anyway
What i will put back to original is the u2 chip on the neckboard. In my neckboard there was a HFA1100 chip and when i changed it to a EL5166 I got lower bandwidth. I explain it in this thread:
http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=342838#342838
I only changed that chip and not the u4 (mc34082 originally) I also didn't change any capacitors
Dennis did you put other chips in the neckboards? I'm willing to do one more attempt because the machine is open now.
Cheers,
Ron.
