My machine, yet again, fails to fire up.

The fans come on and I get the initial crackle of HT but no menu and no light.......

Inside, all the diagnostic lights are green and nothing on the boards.......

However, there is one light shining on the (new improved)EHT module which is confusing me...... It's almost completely hidden but it's D14. It's confusing because according to the the service bulletin I would expect it to be on with D13, the Hold Down indicator. However, D13 is not lit.

Have I got yet another rogered quad or a faulty EHT module or am I barcoing up the wrong tree? Sorry, awful pun!

All help gratefully received!

Paul

Most likely it is one of the three HV components.

I've run out of quads..... I've been through 4 in 4 years with very light use....... is this par for the course or have I just been unlucky?

I have a spare splitter but nothing else.... what have you got Curt?

As far as inputs go, I drive the pj with a HTPC through 5xBNC. I can't find anything to drive another input yet. There must be something in the loft with an svideo or composite output.........

HT Bits as follows....

EHT Module R762716
Quad R762717
Splitter R762718

It would appear from the briefing sheet that my Quad is for the 808 series, but worked ok for a while. It seems that I'm looking for the R762833.... if it is indeed the Quad.....

P.S. I was incorrect when I said that it was just D14 lit on the EHT Module. Both D13 & D14 are lit.... I wasn't looking closely enough....

Cheers,

Paul

Actually, the 761743 quad will be far more reliable, and is directly compatible with the EHT board and splitter. I do have stock, pls email me at curtpalme@shaw.ca

thanks!
