Hello,
My Barco works improperly, always at turning it on, it takes time for a picture to appear.
At first, it began only to blink, I would say the whole picture in all the tubes was covered with black stripes.
Now no picture comes any more at turning the device on, in such a case it takes about 10 minutes and it begins to blink. At first, the picture comes from above with blanking black screen size stripes and they get smaller, after about 5 minutes everything is in all right again, then I can use it again as usual.

On the G2/diagnostic board flickers the red scan fail light
If good image, the scan light go off

For connection, I use port 5, but an error also occurs on port 1 and 2, so it cannot be on the input port.
I am responsible for soldering and have a multimeter, but no oscilloscope.
Is it possible on the basis of the error pattern to say what it is, what possible plate causes the problem?
I've often heard, that old capacitors are the reason for it, I can freely change them, if that is the reason and if I knew on which plate they are.
Is anyone acquainted with this problem and can help me?
Thank you

Most probably problem is on smps or V/H deflection board.

It sounds like you're 17 V test point on the power supply may be off.
Measure that to make sure that you are at 17 V exactly.

@tschaeikaei

@Ile
Thanks for hint, i check it.

Post 3 more posts in the post testing area, then you can answer PMs.

Check the 17 volt test point!

The internal patterns don't work too after powering up?
(Die internen Testbilder werden kurz nach dem Start auch nicht angezeigt?)
Gruß Julian

I don`t know at this point if you can troubleshoot further than the SMPS, the H board or the V board. Since the V board rarely goes intermittent, I would suspect the SMPS or the H board more, but now you either need to test your boards in another set, or put good working boards into your set. I have lots of the H boards in stock, I could sell you one for cheap, and that would save you sending it in. I don`t have a lot of spare SMPS, so you`d have to send me yours to test.

Also, if it`s a BG808s, the problem could be the video switching board. THe scan fail circuit runs through that board. again, you`d need to send it to me to test. if it`s a BG808 non S, then the video boards should be OK.

Thanks for hints.
Send to USA is too expensive.
But I have offered also from Germany who sell me some boards.
I will try to swap the boards.
