I've been running my Netflix account on my computer on an SVGA setting
The picture is fine, BUT I'm losing a lot of image off the sides (like you'd get with pan and scan.
The image is fine on my computer monitor but cut off on the projector.
Note: It seems to be blowing up the size of the image to the point of cutoff.
There is lots of room on the screen.
This happens mostly on Netflicks.
Playing a computer file I can compensate using the controls on Media Player Classic.l

Are you running from a laptop? Often the second screen or projector will be seen as 4:3 instead of 16:9 in this case cutting off the sides.

Running off a desktop with a 13 inch flat screen monitor.
I'm going to be switching to a wi-fi enabled Blu-Ray player as soon as I get my HDMI converter.

You'll need to identify the second display and set the resolution for it. What version of windows are you running?

XP.
I suppose I could disconnect the monitor and run it directly to the projector, but the second monitor solution sounds best
Could you give me the set-up instructions?

Shelly have you tried switching the cables 1 to 2 and 2 to 1? Just to see what you get.

I don't have anything with that particular chipset. Generally speaking go into the graphics settings and try cloning your desktop you should get the same display on the monitor and the projector.

You should be able to do 16:9 in a 4:3 window. I did it all the time on my old HTPC at 1024x768.

Does anyone have a PC with this video chipset?

Sorry this took so long.
I assume that what you mean was go to the projector's settings and duplicate the monitor's settings in one of the templates.
That seems straight forward enough.

No not the projector, the PC. Leave the projector alone for a moment.

Let's get both your PC's outputs producing the same picture first.

i got a old computer and turned it into a htpc with xbmc i strongly recomend a scaler to go with it like pixelmagic or a dvdo and let the size be calculated by the scaler and not the pc/laptop and use vga for output i get a great picture 720p because most streaming formats on xbmc are the best for a 701 cine7 or 7 projectors and jou will also have downloaded movie's that are ripped to 720p and vga has no handshake protocol like hdmi. Thumbs Up
