Hi Sorry if this has been asked a million times before but just set up my first g90 and did a perfect job , if I do say so myself.
I have been through a g70 , 1292 and 1270 before and own the set up dvd from Graham. Using all of this experience and being as precise as possible I got the memory block #15 locked to 1080i from my direct tv looking superb.
Now how do I do the old store to all memory blocks on my g90 ? I am used to holding down the memory key on the remote until it say store to all memory blocks , but so far haven't been able to find it . Did find how to add to service menu and did that.
I want to add my PlayStation 3 to memory block 16 but do I have to start from scratch ?
Would copying all the numbers from #15 and then entering them into 16 work as a fall back ??
Good news is I really only have two devices but still its a three hour process and would love to watch a movie.
Thanks
David

I see you're up north of the twin cities… Did you purchase the Minneapolis G90 that was on ebay for some time? I kept thinking it looked like a steal.

I always ran my DirecTV box through my AVR to upscale to 1080p because 1080i scan lines were pretty noticeable on the G70. They have to be razor sharp and pretty obvious on the G90, no?

Sorry I can't help you with the memory block question, but no doubt Craig Rounds will be along any second to answer your question.

SC

Yeah, you hold down the memory button while in service mode for around 15 seconds. A screen will then come up asking if you want to save focus or registration. Save focus and then go through again and save registration. This does create a base memory, but unfortunately the way the G90 works it may not help much for your next scan rate. You usually do have to start from scratch with each memory on the G90.

This is why I charge more for additional scan rates on the G90 than any other projector. Some projectors like the Marquee and NEC need very little touch up between scan rate memories, the G90 requires a lot.

Have you had any luck using the numbers from each setting in a different resolution and then entering them in to the new resolution ?

I did get that projector - too hard to pass up a local G90 that had clean tubes and I could go and pick up.
Didn't think that would happen again !! Bit impulsive and my GF thinks i'm nuts Embarassed
I now have a very nice G70 with spare parts and tubes which I will sell and hope finds a good home.
