Hello, I just got a Lumagen XE and Moome EXT V3 and have been playing with Resolutions and timings and have been trying to get 817P @72hz to work with they 1200x but the projector doesn't seem to be receiving a Signal or not locking on. The XE has the latest firmware, and the Moome is connected via RGBHV. Is it possible that the Moome doesn't support this mode?

Im trying to find the best resolution/timings for the 1200x. Eventually I plan on running 3D as well with it. I suppose I could run at 720P or 1080i @72hz but am not sure of the proper timings.

Any suggestions or ideas would be mucho appreciated Smile

Brad

Last night I did some more tinkering and I was able to get the Moome to lock on, apparently one has to flip dip 5 up and press the sel button until the projector locks on. The Moome doesn't have the h shift in a viable range when going to that resolution for the first time. Now the next step is to dial in the timings as it's over scanned horizontally. I think this resolution is 2.35:1 which my screen is 16:9 so I might reduce the Horizontal to 1452 and see what that gives. I did decrease the back porch on the Lumagen and that did help but not enough.

Something is not clear: you say your picture is overscanned horizontally, which means the picture is bigger than the raster, then you have to increase the total pixel count and not decrease.

Honestly, since you are using a 8" machine I would suggest you to try 1080i 96Hz, if your scaler support it. That is a native 16:9 resolution of course, zero flickering, also more suitable for 3D, and needs less bandwidth than 817p 72Hz.

Hello, thank you for the reply. I will give 1080i at 96hz a shot. I haven't tried that resolution yet. More or less i'm trying to find a sweet spot, while at the same time learning how to properly use a scaler.
