sorry!
Maybe it is wrong question. Only barco 800 has port3 board not the data 801s.
I want to know if the port3 board with better performance than RGBHV port, if it does, I can find one to have a try.

Barco 800 through to Cine 9/909 all have port 3 slot for port3 board. They are all the same part number but the build quality goes up with the later model projector. To my knowledge they are all interchangeable although some don't seem yo be able to deal with 1080p.

It's possible that there may be an improvement over port 5.

Actually not quite true. the 800 port 3 input has a TTL level (5 volt) input, as the 0.7-1 volt input wasn't an industry standard back in 1989 when it was designed. I don't have an 801s in front of me to check whether the port 3 board is the same as the later 808/1209s/909 ones, but if you need a 12098s/909 prt 3 board, I have lots of them.

I should qualify that the 800 board I have came from an 1100 which is an 800 chassis with 9" tubes. I suppose barco could have changed the board between those models. Just check the part number.

thanks curt and km987654.
Actually I do have a spare data 801s set but I did not check its board since it has been replced by 1209/2 5 years ago.
This morning I open 801s and find out it dose have port3 board numbered R7621055, so I will plug it into 1209/2 to have a try.

I am not sure I understand you but the Port 3 connection is a 9 pin not 15 pin VGA. You need a RGB or VGA to Port 3 cable look at this link

Are you using a scaler?

Yes I use 15 pin to 9 pin connector to port3.(one end is 15pin, aother end is 9pin).
I have tried laptop and 3dfury,both VGA output to port3,maybe is syn issue,it is not nomal.

You may need negative sync.

problem solved!
it is the 15pin to 9pin cable to blame.
I changed this cable with new one and everything is fine.
the port3 picture is good with 1080i and 720p,but seems can not handle 1080p signal from BD-player well.
I also use laptop to output 1600X900@60hz signal,it is sharp and very stable, no any left side banding anymoer like BD-player with 1080p signal.
