I'm hoping that someone in the Curt Palme family here lives in or near Darlington, MD 21034.

I purchased some medical equipment from a guy there about 3 weeks ago and all communication has stopped since receiving my payment. I've been doing deals using Ebay and Craigslist for many years and if this guy is a scammer, then he's one of the best I've come across. Has a business, website, cell phone, business phone, etc. In our email exchanges, everything checked out. At this point, I'm wondering if something happened to him. When I call his phone, it rings and goes to VM. When I call the business line and choose an extension, it goes to VM. I get no replies from email. The one thing that REALLY has me worried is that two days ago I called his cell phone and the message said the mailbox was full. Then, a day later, I was able to leave a message because it was no longer full. That means that someone had to listen to them and clear a few out during that span.

I guess his business could have been going under and he used all that as a front to get whatever he could from people?

It's not a ton of money so it will sting but I will eventually get over it. I would be curious though, if someone here with an area code from nearby called him if he would actually pick up not knowing that they were connected to me.

Thanks for any help!

Doc

Try this, Doc:

You can pick any number you want to be calling from. I won't say what I used it for, but it worked like a charm. They even have a free mobile app, and you can make a free 30-second demo call, which might be fine for the purposes of just seeing if somebody picks up. Wink

I live in the DC area, so I'm about 2 1/2 - 3 hours away from him, but if there's anything I can do to help let me know. Hopefully there's a reasonable explanation for all of this, but you never know.

Interesting, Mac isn't returning my emails. Go figure.

He's mad at us for making Hog a moderator. He took his ball and went home.
