I have a XP laptop.
Gretagmacbeth eye-one display 2
Have downloaded HCFR the newest version.
I have the EyeOne.dll file in the HCFR folder.

HCFR does not find the meter. It only list simulated in the meters field.

I am new to this and I would like a generous soul to help me get this thing working.

Does it show up in system properties (press Win+Pause/Break) under device manager?

The diagnostic software says the meter is working fine. It shows up fine in the device manager but the HCFR software cannot find it. I have never seen anything this hard to configure.

any help will be appreciated. Thanks for any suggestions.

Tried it on a windows 8 machine. Before all it say was the simulated meter. On this machine it sees Argyll and a few others but still no Display 2. Twisted Evil Getting closer. Any ideas?
