Yeah, I am.
Just started going through it last night. Some of the boards seem very old and incorrect for a 9500lc. For example, the HDM has plugs right on it for the yokes. Not in front of my old 9500lc, but I swear there should be wires coming out with plugs on them, and not plugs right on the board. I could have sworn that format is from the 8000...
Couple other things bugging me as well.
I would like to do the dual passive 3d with 9500's.
Somewhere I found a board compatibility list for the Marquees on this forum, but I can't find it again. Anyone know where it is? A list that tells you what can be used with what...

Yup
That is an 8000/9000 HDM. The extended plugs were introduced so rental setup guys could switch the scan faster. Most newer boards will work in earlier projectors. The white Panduit connectors can be keyed for selective compatibility so if an older board will not seat in a newer slot it is probably not meant to; older VIMs for example.

That link is pointing to an other thread where Barclay posted the compatibility list

Right, I sees that.
The link in the post within the other thread gives me a .php. Wonder if it's this tablet...

If it doesn't work, do a search for "Marquee ULTRA board Nr.?"...

Ok, so this is cool... NOT!
My original 9500LC (what this thread is about) is marked as an Ultra.
I took a good look at it, and it does not have the right VIM board.
And... I keenly remember yanking a board out of there before I knew what was what back in say 1998 or so, and thinking, gosh, this has quite a lot of electronics on it, must be an older version! And doing SOMETHING with it... maybe I'll find it again someday in my basement, but... wow...
My original 9500LC was from a significant military surplus auction purchase. I drove down to Virginia and drove back with about 10 Marquee projectors. I wanted the 9500LC, and I checked out, set up and sold the rest of them to pay for it. I remember it getting bid up significantly (thanks Curt, or Tim... it MUST have been one of you guys... Heh... )
I have two 8000/8500 chassis remaining, in various states of ugliness. All the HD8 lenses are gone, but the tubes are still here. I could probably put one back together.
Going to try and get some HD8 lenses now...
Sorry for the ramble!
D'oh!

I should drive up to you this week to help you out. VIM's were all basically the same and it didn't matter if it was an ultra or not for the Vims/ the main parts for an ultra are the mother board, HDM, CVA, VDM, DPB( on CLM) and the FGM( not a FCM) .
With out them doing a side by side stack is almost impossible. But an over under or two on top of each other both floor mounted will work.

Oh, sorry, I meant focus board, the one that sits between the Red and Green, with half of the board empty of electronics.
I had VIM on the brain, because I think I have a version 3 VIM here, but it has DIP op-amps, so I'm looking back to see if it's the ISS. # that is important, or the -02P or -03P.
Thanks for the correction!

OMG, you guys are FUNNY!
And it was odd that Armstrr took a pic, but now I know what he was up to. Interesting that it came through you, Tom.
Yeah, I love the sticker... I get people that love it, and others that are like... "How could you put such filth on your car!"
I've got a lot of reasons... but I'll leave all that alone... Heh.
That projector is up and running again. Tested the Moome in it with a Playstation and such. It's an older Moome (dated 2009) and I'm afraid of what I'm reading on this forum about black levels and lines. Need to get the lenses back on this one and see what it looks like!
