if im understanding your question correctly the answer will be the same for any machine... as square on to the screen as physically possible...

@ mx83toy : It is possible that you just replyed on the wrong topic ?
@ Tim : a stock 1209/2 have Panasonic PT22-08 tubes. Not sure about the pinout but the neck is a bit shorter than LUG, LPB and LCP.

I'm not in front of a set obviously, but I thought they are the LCP. the LUGs came later, in the 1209s sets, and teh 1209 may need a g2 pin mod in order to work with LUGs. Very easy to do on Barcos though, but it's been 5+ years since I worked on a 1209 so I could be wrong. Nothing wrong with doing the pin 2 to 6 jumper mod regardless on the 1209 just to be sure.

I found some pictures of 1209.
Unfortunately don't remember if was 1209 or 1209/2.
This machine have the green and red P19LCP07 and blue pt22-08
You can see that the neck of the blue is shorter than others.
But the neckboards are the same, so I assume that the pinout is the same.

Right, and to get to this point where you can take this photo, you need to remove the frontmost cover? The one with lots of screws and you ruin the mechanical settings in the process? I didn't find in the manual how to strip it down this far.

Yes, take of all the screws you can find.
It won't ruin any settings, you will have to align the tubes again when it's on the ceiling anyway
