Was reminiscing about tv repair with my brother the other day and remembered something cool and fun I used to do as a teenager , with partially dead TV sets - ones that still had a raster but maybe the tuner or sound had gone out. Basically what it boiled down to was disconnecting the deflection yoke, separating out the two wires each per vertical and horizontal coil, and .... drum roll...hooking them up to the L and R channels of a Stereo Amp / Reciever !
The end result is ... a giant Lissajous pattern generator !
I'm curious , has anyone else on the forum tried this in their past ???

YES!!! I wanted to do better, and get an amplitude modulator for each color, but didn't know enough in elementary school to get it done...

Never did it with a TV, but I did it with an oscilloscope...
