Has anyone extended theirs or know of a longer cable you can get??? I do have a wireless controller but when doing extended stints with setup I believe wired would be much nicer...

i agree a longer cord would really come in handy for setup as i know i could get my convergence tighter

yep, only 2 wires to solder, mine is 4 meters long now.

3 wires, unless you put batteries in it. I'd power the wired remote via the chassis, so extend all three.
