TV/Projector: All of them!

I am very sad to report that the Fox theater, Vancouver's last porno theater, has shut down.

First it was the Haida in Burnaby, an original movie theater from the 1930s that converted to porn, they switched to a Barco 1500 that we put in in 1988.

Then the Kitten on Granville St put in a Barco 801. Later we put in a Zenith PRo 851 as a backup, then I upgraded them to two Barco 808.

Then The Venus theater on Main street bought two Zeniths from me.

The Fox was the only one that never switched to video. Last I was in there, quoting to put in a long throw digital, they were running VERY used 35 mm film from the 1970s. Massive dirt on the movies, very discolored. You could say... very hairy! D

Alas, I just read that it's switching to live theater. No, not THAT kind of live theater! That's still illegal in Vancouver! Laughing

Of course it is, ditto for all the strip clubs that are no longer, and Vancouver was long a hot spot (pun intended).

Motley Crue's 'Girls Girls Girls' named a whole bunch of them in the lyrics, as they recorded the song across the street from my old shop...

A lot has changed, hasn't it.....

I still prefer live entertainment, though.
