i have been having issues with the convergence with my ecp lately

aside from the normal drifting(which for some reason mine didn't do till i had the high voltage leak which i have since fixed)

i let the projector warm up before i adjust the convergence but after i do the convergence drifts on the blue tube(did on this tube the most) i put up with the drifting when it was mostly on the blue tube

lately it has been drifting on both the red and blue tubes

before anyone asks i have the tube toe in set right and the lens are in focus

i have tried one of my spare waveform boards and convergence boards yet it didn't fix the issue

also the left side of the blue grid will not align with the green grid at all(i can get it close but not perfect)

other then that i am stumped

any tips or advice would be welcome thanks

So far as I know everyone since the beginning of time has said ECPs don't hold convergence worth a damn. I think they were this way even when new, but Tim or Curt would have to attest to this. I think I started a thread on this a while back (I'll check later and link it, if so). My ECP also loses blue convergence every startup and always in the same way - the entire blue field shifted to the left two taps of the right arrow. Convergence changes very, very little with warm-up. Red, never (ok, RARELY) been a problem.

That said, in preparing for a blend, I've been marking the startup and warmed-up green grid locations on pieces of blue tape on my screen edges for the last few months....it does move a bit (I should have been recording ambient temp as my basement temp varies a lot), but not so much as to make me think the two PJs will be so far out as to cause problems. Eventually I'll post this data...

As odd as it sounds mine didn't drift on the red tube before at all but what bugs me the most is the left side of the blue tube won't line up with the green at all (it droops) I have the card set right on the switches

Right now I am using it and it is working fine(minus the slight blue droop on the left side)

I am getting a marquee soon so my Ecp won't be my main machine for my home theater

My room temp doesn't vary much except in the winter(gets down to 65-67) so I know its not the room temp

I love the picture just the small qurks like this bug me(sometimes)

It is kinda annoying to be in the middle of a race(gran tursmio 5 on ps3) and have the convergence drift as it causes color bleed around the white info displays(rarely noticible when watching movies or tv)

Update I found out the cause it was the neck board loose on the blue tube as it got loose enough to shut the tube heaters off on the blue tube

One clue was the picture had a red/green tint to it and the blue tube was barely putting out much light guess I need to put something on the socket to keep it in place and on the tube(doh)

I fired up the projector right after I reseated the neck board and the set worked great with little convergence adjustment needed on either the red or blue tubes

Yes I had the projector plugged in the whole time but I know what I am doing
