Hi I'm looking at getting a Lumagen Mini and want to know before I make the commitment.

I'm looking at this configuration

Denon blu ray 2500 -Marantz-mini-projector.

With this configuration will there be lip syn issue. I had to sell my Duo for this reason.

I have never heard of any of the Radiance units introducing any noticeable delays causing lip sync issues. Never had any complaints.

That said, you may be best to check directly with the Lumagen support team just to be safe. I'd email them at support@lumagen.com, or you can call them at: 503-574-2211

Heads up that our Radiance Mini sale ends at the end of June so don't delay!

The Lumagen VP is so fast that you will have zero lip sync issues at all resulting from it.

With digital projectors there is always some video delay as the projector decodes the digital to an image. This is why we have audio delay in modern HDMI receivers.

On the other hand, CRT has no video delay at all and the image is essentially displayed at the speed of flight. Because of this with some CRT theaters I have found issues with the video getting to the screen before the audio comes out of the receiver (with slower receivers). This results in the opposite delay that a digital projector suffers from, it's actually audio delay instead of video delay! In this case, adding the Lumagen can only improve matters.

However, the Lumagen is so fast that even with it in the chain I still sometimes wish that I could delay the video even more. One feature we were thinking of adding to the Radiance processors is a adjustable video delay. This would be really cool because no receiver can add audio advance. Video delay could fix the issue we sometimes have with CRT projectors using modern HDMI. But unfortunately the Radiance doesn't have enough memory to allow for very much video delay so the feature idea was dropped. It takes a lot more RAM than the Radiance has to provide a significant amount of video delay.

So again, no, you won't have any lip sync issues due to a Radiance processor Smile
