Could someone explain me the differences between a VDC Marquee 9500LC Ultra and a VDC Marquee 9502LC Ultra?
I bought this Marquee a month ago and I have no idea what kind of model this is.

So you have both machines, why don't you find out by yourself? compare the menus, the version numbers, boards etc.; 1 ending usually meant that it came with ACON, don't know about ..2, but I don't think it would be any serious differnce between them

Hmmm
I am not finding 9502 anywhere on the VDC price sheets, but Ehome used to number some of their Euro export gear differently.

Guys
I think VDC used to make a lot of one offs. This might be one of them. I remember that one pj that Scott designed that had some serious geometry control.

This version has a P43 green inside for simulation/3D.

Guys
The P43 machines usually had -ST in the chassis version, as in 38P15295-ST or similar.

I found -ST in my serial number, so does that mean that the pj has got the P43 Tube for 3D?[/img]

Probably
It would have shipped out of VDC with P43. You can take the top plastic cover off of the green tube and look for a label.
P43 is a bit more pastel than standard green, it will tend to flicker at lower vertical rates and it will output less light.

But this is a 9500LC ultra, why would it have a 8" tube?

Guys
P43 is a Phosphor, PT22 is a tube version. Both eight and nine inch tubes can be P43 green.
Standard green is slower decay, that makes it seem brighter by duty cycle but standard green is too slow for 3D vertical rates, typically 96hz, where the left eye/right eye refresh will ghost unless P43 green is specified. Red and blue are deemed fast enough for 3D, so P43 is only found in green tubes.

I just know that i dont like PT22 tube, and if i buy another marquee it have to be damn cheep if its with a PT22 tube, or it will just be for parts.
A new tube cost more than a mint low hour 9500LC ULTRA.

Guys
I believe PT22 can come with P43 phosphor, confusing huh? There is a green LUG43 tube, but LUGs I am told were never offered with P43 phosphor.
