I HAVE A VISIO P42HDTV10A TV AND THE PICTURE WENT OUT BUT THE SOUND STILL WORKS CAN ANY ONE OUT THERE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM

Do a search here on the Vizio. Either the power supply or controller board is bad, and most likely it's not worth repairing. The Vizios are throwaway units. Sorry!

I am going to agree with curt on this your tv is dead the plasma panel is more then the set is worth
Morden tvs are pretty much made to be used and thrown away at the end of they're life
Crt on the other hand wasn't designed like yet people bought the flat panels anyway because they were thin(they aren't with the stand)
Replace it as it is uneconomical to repair(unlike a crt tv)
Ps don't feel bad I was given a pretty new Sony LCD tv thinking that the panel was cheap(900 bucks is NOT cheap) I have good mind the scrap the set for parts(panels cracked)
