Tried hooking up a computer to my 1272 using RGBVH to view the internet. - (PJ runs everything else rgbvh)
Picture was terrible, Never hooked up a computer before.
Do you usally have to adjust the pj settings when doing this?
If I adjust the pj, will it be off for my regular satellite viewing etc?
How do you guys run a computer on these sets?
Thank You

Make a new input for the computer, first off for a 4:3 or 5:4 screen try 1280x1024 or 1280x960, if you cant get it looking sharp step down to 1024x768.
For a 16:9 screen, do 1280x720 ( 1280x768 for a 16:10 screen ) and see how you go...
It should be able to do 1024x768 sharp as a tack, but being ES focus if the tubes have done alot of hours its never going to be great for text.

My 1252 has 16000+ hours on it and I can still read everything at 1024x768@72Hz

I used to have a sony 1271 (almost identical to yours) running the pc on RGBHV at 1280x720, 60 hz no problems. You'll have to converge the image the first time, of course.

Sony uses different memory locations for various resolutions. Try reducing your computer resolution to see if you can lock to an existing memory, so at least you can see what it looks like.
If not, then yes, you'll have to reconverge once for the new memory location. As long as you use the same resolution, you only need to reconverge once. Don't forget to press the 'save' button!
