I've had a couple of requests and complaints that some Barco 808 models won't quite squeeze the V height down to 16:9 (or less for 2:35, etc), even with the V height at 0.

I've got the mod for this, and it works fine. I can get the V height REALLY low now.

$225 incl shipping for a modded V board, $250 outside of North America.

Keep your existing board as a spare. I've got enough spare boards here to do about 10 projectors.

Email or PM me if you're interested.

As I said via PM, I make my living selling and repairing sets. I've done the research and have tested the mod. I'm not going to post the information for free, sorry.

Amazing. How did your original post get to this....

Do you have something in the forum admin panel that's not letting everyone see this part of your post: "$225 incl shipping for a modded V board, $250 outside of North America."

Guys.....this is part of Curt's product. You guys do not work for free in your professions either. Curt will this work on a Data 808s? And are you sure you do not want the old boards? I mean the old board as a spare is sorta useless if they are not modded.

Yes, I can mod any of the Barco V boards. I've got about 20 V boards here, and usually manage to repair every defective one I get in, so no, keep your old one as a spare. Smile

What? You don't want to publish a 20 cent mod and a clipped resistor??? WHY EVER NOT? You ARE independently wealthy after all, right? Mr. Green

Hell, WE don't need no food or electricity. Rolling Eyes

The mod is really simple, guys. You take the vertical board and squeeze it in a press about 20%.
This squeezes the vertical electrons down so you can achieve perfect 16:9, etc.

But don't overdo it or you'll need a bottle of replacement smoke.

Ive got a BG808s and can confirm that this problem affects my projector. Ive got height set to 0 and I think I stretched it horizontally to get it close to 16:9.
