|
|
Hello,
I have a problem that can be ignored, but it is visible in bright scens. It is like extra scanlines that are a little thicker than normal scanlines, and run up or down through the picture. They are as dense as scanlines, and they are not wide spread like ground loops (I have checked for this). I have those extra lines on red and green (blue might be too soft), and they are also present in internal test patterns.
Barclay66 pmed me some very good "German" ideas, that I include here if someone is on the hunt for a similar fault:
Thanks for your ideas

Just a translation of the potential sources:
- One cause can be the CLM, especially if it injects digital noise into the video chain
- Another can be the LVPS (e.g. noise on the +/-85V rails for the VNBs)
- The HVPS can be another source (e.g. noise on the G2 rails)
- The VNBs themselves can cause this (but usually only one of them at a time)
- If the noise runs vertically through the picture it can be caused by the VDM and/or the SAB too
- There have been cases where the routing of cables did this
- Or it could be any kind of noise that gets caught in the video chain
Regards,

He could have left it in German, and I would still be able to read it.
All of the above are good ideas, you'll need to swap some boards to see where the problem is.

correction, take an educated guess what it says as it`s obvious because of the terms cmm lvps etcetera.
