Many people use a HTPC as their primary source, so this is not your plroblem.

Have you tested the projector with another input other than the HTPC? or internal test patterns.? Is the blue tube still not working??
Is the Blue not working at all?
Error lights on the projector?

Cheers
Steve

Also,
Some projectors have a full white warmup screen, which can be for 20minutes, so don't worry about full white screen.

I also use HTPC, my background is plain black, I only have only a few icons on desktop, and move them regularly, the taskbar is auto-hiding the remaining line is blanked off by the pj, that's how I do.

yes i have tested the projector with
another input>>blue ray player.
i get same issue>>>the blue tube works fine
if the bakground colors are not too bright.
when the background color go white,
the picture scrolls from top to bottom 5 or 6 times and the barco go off.
i must restart it...
my blue tube are not very old.
it have around 2000H only...

if i plug another blue tube.
anything go fine.
I wonder if the fact to display a white image, like windows
folder not tire tubes?

OK, Still sounds like a projector problem.

Someone with Barco experience needs to chip in here. I know Marquee's, plus a little Sony.
2000hrs is no worry at all, unless they are driven hard, high contrast and brightness.

The scrolling of the image is the pointer though. Anyone???

Hmmm, just a thought, is the output from the HTPC too hot?? as in Higher voltage. 0.7v is the normal output.

Cheers

Sounds like a bad cable from the HTPC. Which input are you using on the Barco?

Sounds like a frequency problem. What resolution and refresh rate are you using??

If your old blue tube works fine, new one is probably partly shorted. With long lasting full white image cathode shorts inside tube to heater, you should hear snap when that happens and then projectors shuts down.

Gently tab tubes neck to remove debris from gun assembly and then go to service menu and use crt run in cycles function 2-10 hour. It flashes full white image and should burn rest of that debris away. Make sure that flashing image is inside tubes face before leaving it flash by self.

Even better if you can find someone with sencore crt rejuvenator that have function to make this same "sh*t burning" process faster and more effectively. Also normal use will probably burn that debris, but it will take longer and it's pretty annoying to have few shut down during movie.

how can do to test it?

>>i use port 3 with hdfury 2.

>>resolution: 1280*720@60

but dont think that is the problem because
with another blue tube the barco works fine
