Check to see if the red light on the EHT board comes on when you lose the picture.

My guess is that you're losing HV. When projecting an all white field, you're driving the HV section very hard, usually causing shutdown. I'm surprised that you don't have the shutdown light on, but it's possible for the HV to fail and to not have that light on.
My guess is still EHT board, quadrupler or splitter issues.

I think you need to determine whether the HV is shutting down. How do you get the picture back> Turning the set off and on again?

Hi,
Could be a SMPS problem as well. Maybe the +17V or the H-SIZE-MAX settings have drifted due to aging parts. Do not try to adjust them by Yourself (risk of damage)!. If You have a spare SMPS board instead it would be worth trying...

Hi,
If You swapped almost everything then it's quite probable that Your problem isn't caused by the projector. What happens if You connect another display device to Your source?

hi,thanks for your answer
i try with another computer.
i try it with a new cable...
i get same issue:when the computer display
dark picture the barco works fine, but if i open
a window with white background it loose the
signal and i must to close the white windows and restart
the barco...
i try too with blue ray player:
it is better the barco lose the picture sometimes only when the picture is
near white.
i dont need to restart the barco, the signal come back with a dark picture.
the only thing that i did not try are the rgb output amplifers and the cntroler ship and board, but i think that is not
the problem...
i understand nothing,very strange problem.....

Indeed, this is weird. Something seems to get disturbed as soon as the white level on the picture rises above a certain value. Like Curt, I do believe it has something to do with the HV section. The brighter the picture gets, the more current is drawn from the HV supply. And it seems like some kind of overload behaviour.
Next idea: You have many LED indicators inside the Barco:
- One on the EHT board
- One on the V-Deflection board
- One on the H-Deflection board
- Several on the G2-Diagnostic board
- Several on the RBG input board
- Several on the controller board
- Possibly one on each RGB amplifiers
Could You verify what happens with these LEDs? Especially those on the G2-Diagnostic?
Could You describe their status at these three stages:
- Normal picture
- White picture (shortly before shut down)
- After shut down

Hi,
This is the designation of the controller LEDs:
LED 01 StandBy
LED 02 Main Power
LED 03 Processor Cycles (activity)
LED 04 I2C shorted
LED 05 Block Match (valid input signal)
LED 06 Error
LED 07 RCU (Remote)
LED 08 RCVDS
LED 09 PC
LED 10 Pause
So if LED No. 06 and 07 are flashing there is some kind of error going on that could have something to do with the remote control unit (refer to this http://www.curtpalme.com/Barco1208_Layout6.shtm).
I'm just not quite sure which kind of error that would be, sorry. It could be the controller itself or some supply line being off as mentioned before. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in...
Regards,
barclay66

when i cut blue tube the barco works fine
i can display full screen white picture and
barco not go off.
i swap rgb socket blue/red/green but the problem
occurs on the blue only.
my question:
anyone think that is the blue tube or,may be,the

Check your G2 settings, make sure the LEDs go off when you're in the service mode.
