Hi guys I wanted to ask your opinion on something. One of my hobbies hobbies is collecting and watching laserdiscs. e do not have a dedicated room in our house for a home theater and I was thinking about using this in our living room to watch movies at night. My question is is this a decent projector to start playing around with or should I look for something else? I hear Runco makes nice equipment and I really don't want to spend much on a projector since it will be something to play around with. The guy is asking $375 for it. Is that a fair price or should I offer less and if so what would be a good starting point to offer. I know it will do 720p and 1080i. Any help or advice would be wonderful! I also would be watching laserdisc with the projector. I hear that digital projectors do not work to well with laserdisc players. Do you have any idea how the picture would look with this projector?

Thanks,
Paul Kepner

I am not sure how good it is, but see how many hours are on the bulb. I wouldn't pay over $250 for it if the bulb is good, but that is me. I am not trying to be cheap. The fact is is that the pj is an 8 year old design. If you look around, then you can find used 1080p pjs for under a grand. For a point of reference, I paid $400 for a Marantz 720p around 3 years ago.
